Ausi is a remarkable young boy whose life has been marked by significant challenges, yet he continues to inspire everyone around him with his resilience and gentle spirit. Born with severe hydrocephalus, Ausi lost both of his parents at a young age and was lovingly cared for by his grandparents for several years. As they grew older, however, they were no longer physically able to meet his needs. Although he has extended family members, none were willing to care for him because of his medical condition. Ultimately, the police brought Ausi to Home of Hope, where he could receive the specialized care, support, and unconditional love he deserves.

Despite the obstacles he faces, Ausi is a bright and engaging child. He is able to communicate in both Lugandan and some English, enjoys interacting with those around him, and can feed himself independently. However, he remains dependent on caregivers for many daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and other personal care needs.

Ausi is currently blessed to have a school sponsor who provides for his educational expenses, including tuition. However, he still needs sponsorship to support his daily care at Home of Hope. A sponsorship of $45 per month helps provide essentials such as nutritious meals, clothing, loving nanny care, medical appointments and shunt checkups, therapy services, and other daily necessities that contribute to his health, comfort, and well-being.
