Meet Beatrice
Beatrice was brought to Home of Hope by a social worker in 2020 after she was abandoned in a pediatric hospital in Jinja. Because she had been in the hospital, she came with medical records and known diagnoses — a rare and important detail that has helped her caregivers provide the right support.
At some point in her life, Beatrice underwent surgery to have a shunt placed to treat her severe hydrocephalus. Because of this shunt, she requires regular checkups at Cure Hospital to monitor her condition.
Beatrice needs sponsorship for her daily care at Home of Hope. A sponsorship covers her daily needs including meals, clothing, nanny care, occupational and physical therapy sessions, and any other needs she may have.
Sponsors receive updates on Beatrice throughout the year and following Our Hope International's annual trip to Uganda.
