Meet Elijah
Elijah came to Home of Hope after being abandoned by his mother and cared for by his uncle for a period of time. As his care needs increased and family support became limited, his uncle was no longer able to provide the care Elijah required. Local officials brought him to Home of Hope, where he could receive the specialized support and loving environment he deserved.
When Elijah arrived, he was able to sit independently but had significant developmental challenges. While he has not gained as many physical skills as hoped despite ongoing therapy, he continues to receive dedicated care and encouragement from the Home of Hope staff. Elijah participates in regular occupational and physical therapy sessions focused on improving his fine motor skills and increasing his independence, particularly with feeding himself.
Elijah also takes medication to control his epilepsy and is doing well overall. He has a healthy appetite, enjoys a wide variety of foods, and continues to grow and thrive in the care of his Home of Hope family.
A sponsorship of $45 per month helps provide Elijah with meals, clothing, medications, nanny care, therapy services, and other daily needs. Your support helps ensure he continues to receive the love, care, and opportunities he needs to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
